Health and Fitness

In 2014, I started on a journey of weight loss, joined my first boot camp, and then another and another. Four years later I am approximately 20 kgs lighter, and most importantly so much fitter and stronger.

I started Crossfit in 2017, and one year later I qualified to compete at the Crossfit Nationals Finals. I'm currently working to fill in the gaps in my skills to improve my placing in the upcoming years.

NZME. Wellness Week

The company regularly presents wellness weeks where we focus on many aspects of wellness. I took this on organising sessions, from speakers to exercise activities for staff/employees to attend, from speakers to exercise activities.

See the link below for my wellness week website, which I updated throughout the week with photos and information:

The Importance of Being Earnest

In 2018 I was given the opportunity to be part of a Tauranga Open Air Theatre's production of The Importance of Being Earnest. This was a huge step outside of my comfort zone as I was cast as Gwendolyn, alongside my husband who played Earnest.  As one of the key characters this required a ton of line learning and one of the biggest learnings for me was stepping away from the fear of "looking silly" and owning my character.

04

Music
I learnt violin for 10 years, plus piano and singing for 8 years. I love to dabble with these in my spare time, and love to surround myself with likeminded people. Glasses is a project I recorded with Mata Mckay in university and collaborated with multiple volunteer actors, and videographer Nick Atkinson to get the music video filmed.
